Job Description:
Defense Contractor involved in product development and
manufacturing of various systems utilized in military aerospace and
ground vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area is
searching for an experienced Deputy Program Manager. Deputy Program
Management professionals are assigned tasks related to contracts
awarded from customers and will provide support to the Engineering
Business Organization.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of contracts, purchase orders, and contract
amendments/mods.
- Manage some or all aspects of contracts that are assigned.
- Complete regular program status review in preparation of
customer meetings.
- Liaison between departments involved in production of MEC
product - to include Engineering, Quality, Planning.
- Communicate well with internal suppliers and external
customers.
- Assist PMs, Senior PMs, or Program Director as needed.
- Create and present program updates to internal and external
customers, whether in person or via phone conference.
- Follow and execute actions IAW MEC's policies and
procedures.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or (1-5) years
of directly related experience in an appropriate discipline, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience.
- U.S. Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal
government requirements for access to government information.
- Demonstrated skill in establishing and integrating strategies,
goals and objectives and directing resources, including the ability
to plan and coordinate the activities of assigned organizations and
programs.
- Ability to provide administrative leadership to accomplish
organizational goals and commitments.
- SAP experience highly desired; Competency in MS Office products
to include Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
required.
- Professional certifications in areas such as Supply Chain
Management, Project Management, Program Management, Purchasing
Management, Production and Inventory Control, etc. are not
mandatory but highly desired.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to speak/read/write English.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. All
