ENTRY WRITER - CUSTOMS BROKERAGE Established International Logistics Company seeks
Entry Writers with at least 6 months experience

• 
  SUMMARY: The Entry Writer is responsible preparing, compiling and managing all documentation and records required to clear goods through the United States Customs including negotiating with, retaining and service as airlines, shipping companies, trucking companies, shippers, consignees, bonded and other warehouse.
  
  Location:Inglewood, CA
  Pay: $22-24/hr. (Plus Benefits)
  Job Type:Direct Hire
  Schedule: HYBRID (3 days in-office, 2 days' work from home)

  KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
• Prepare customs brokerage file
  
• Verify arrival information with NVOCC s/or Steamship Lines
  
• Rate commercial invoice with provided tariff numbers, Valuation instructions, country of origin notes
  
• Enter into computer system transmit to Customs
  
• Prepare entry documents for Customs approval and Duty payment
  
• Provide necessary documents to other government Agencies (i.e. Agriculture & FDA)
  
• Prepare delivery order, send to trucker, verify receipt
  
• Prepare billing package, bill file, mail to client
  
  JOB REQUIREMENTS
  
• Prior work experience in Customs brokerage
  
• A min of 1 year experience in a similar role
  
• Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), FDA, USDA (Perishables) Experience a plus
  
• CargoWise experience a plus!
  
• Computer proficiency; MS Office Suite
