Job Description:


The NFL Media office located in Inglewood, CA is looking for a full-time Production Assistant. This position will report to the Edit Producer and be involved in all aspects of studio-based shows.


* Works closely with Coordinating Producers, Senior Producers, Segment Producers and other Production Assistants on a daily basis to support content created for daily studio programming
* Works in edit bays & control rooms producing video content with editors and coordinating live-to-air on-screen fonts with graphic operators
* Responsible for watching a game and producing multiple highlights for various studio shows
* Works to develop and implement on-screen graphic elements that reflect breaking news, current NFL topics and statistics related to show content
* Responsible for archiving important video, teleprompting shows and other various tasks related to production
* Facilitating communication and the exchange of ideas across multiple departments

Required Qualifications

* Strong NFL knowledge (present day & historical)
* Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail/organizational skills
* Ability to decipher the most important and up-to-date information for all NFL stories
* Strong understanding of workflows in control rooms and edit environments
* Strong writing skills
* Ability to perform basic statistical and info-based research

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism or equivalent experience in a related field
* Previous professional experience in a TV production environment is strongly preferred
* Basic understanding of linear editing and on-air graphics systems

* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects at once and work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to establish open communication and perform well under pressure
* A team-oriented attitude on all tasks, from the largest to smallest


* Some travel may be required during key events (5%)

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

* NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week
* Overtime may be required during the busiest times of the season
* Overnight, weekend and holiday hours are commonly expected
