For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior Payload Analyst Systems Engineer located in El Segundo, CA. The selected candidate will lead development and verification for state-of-the-art satellite systems for commercial, civil and/or national security programs. You will be part of a highly motivated team that works with domestic or international customers on their latest satellite systems.Project assignments typically span the complete program life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to system development and operations. The candidate will belong to a systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, subsystem engineers, and senior technologists.Position Responsibilities:Lead development and verification of payload systems.Lead development of models and simulations of space systems including space, ground and user segments in support of architecture trade studies.Lead development of software based analysis and simulation tools using MATLAB and object-oriented software platforms.Perform waveform development and characterization.Mentoring and training of junior engineers.Team building and collaboration.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics10 years of experience working with payload systems analysis, modeling simulation, design and/or verification5 years of experience working with digital hardware design, test, and verification5 years of experience in engineering leadership5 years of experience working on aerospace payload systemsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with quickly identifying problems and leading/directing technical team to resolutionExperience with payload systems development, including:Performance requirements decomposition and allocationPerformance analysis, modelling, and simulationAlgorithm development, and firmware/software implementationSignal processing theory and conceptsDevelopment of requirements verification approach, analysis, and processing toolsFamiliarity with statistical analysis as well as data analytics techniques for large data setsExperience using MATLABExperience with team building and collaborationTypical Education/ Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G. PhD9 years' related work experience, Master12 years' related work experience).
