Job Description:
A company is looking for a Benefits Verification Specialist to
verify patient-specific benefits and document coverage details.
Key Responsibilities
Contact insurance companies to verify patient benefits and document
coverage specifics
Triages cases with missing information and initiates prior
authorization processes as needed
Completes quality reviews of work and reports reimbursement trends
to management
Required Qualifications and Education
High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree is
preferred
Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, medical
billing and coding, or benefits verification
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience in healthcare or business administration is
beneficial
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be
considered
