Join State Farm’s dedicated legal team as an Insurance Defense
Trial Attorney, where you will represent one of the nation’s
leading insurance and financial services firms in litigation.

rigorous legal strategies. This role demands a deep understanding
of litigation processes and insurance law, coupled with a
dedication to upholding the highest standards of legal practice.
Provide legal representation to State Farm and its policyholders in
civil litigation matters involving claims for monetary damages or
compensation for personal injuries or property damage of a moderate
to heavy value. Prepare and try cases of moderate complexity in all
courts and agencies. Communicate with the claims department to
ensure that all relevant claims are managed in accordance with
legal requirements and company policies. Advise policyholders on
the legal implications of claims and legal actions against them or
the company. Negotiate settlements on behalf of policyholders and
State Farm in alignment with best legal practices and the company’s
policies. Conduct continuous risk assessments and recommend
strategies to minimize potential legal liabilities. Proficient in
the principles and practice of civil litigation, insurance defense,
and tort laws. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability
to analyze complex legal scenarios and provide effective legal
solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with legal research software. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Licensed to practice
law in the state in which the role is located. Membership in the
state or local bar association.
