Job Description:

A company is looking for a Data Governance Lead to oversee data governance initiatives within the Military Health System.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement data governance strategies aligned with DoD standards and MHS mission needs
Oversee the development and adoption of scalable, DoD-compliant data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
Lead a team of contractors executing data governance initiatives across data cataloging, policy, and quality

Required Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related technical discipline
10+ years of experience in data governance, enterprise data architecture, or data strategy execution within large-scale federal or healthcare environments
Expert-level knowledge of DoD data governance policies, metadata standards, and frameworks (e.g., DMBoK)
Hands-on experience with tools such as Talend Data Catalog, AWS, Apache Hive, Oracle Databases, or other metadata/data quality platforms
US Citizen; must be located in the US and eligible for DoD public trust or clearance
