Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Interventional Radiology - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Interventional Radiology RN – Travel Assignment Mission Viejo, CA 13-Week Contract We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading acute care hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This role involves assisting with IR procedures, monitoring patients during sedation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Schedule: Day Shift – 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) Job Duties - Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures in a fast-paced acute care environment. - Assist physicians during procedures such as cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. - Prepare patients for procedures by verifying medical history, obtaining consent, and ensuring proper preparation. - Monitor patients throughout procedures including vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition. - Administer and monitor procedural sedation and medications according to protocol. - Circulate during procedures and ensure all sterile instruments and equipment are available. - Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, and patient education. - Accurately document patient care and procedures using the Epic electronic health record system. - Respond to stroke emergencies and support stroke intervention procedures. - Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and effective patient care. - Participate in on-call rotations and respond within 30 minutes when on stroke call.
