Job Title: Geriatric Psychiatric Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Geriatric Psychiatry Duration: Short-term Shift: Varies Hours per Shift: Varies Experience: Minimum 2 years acute RN experience with a combination of medical (acute) and psychiatric background License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS and CPI required; credentialing includes fingerprints and fire card Must-Have: Strong and competent RNs Description: Seeking a Geriatric Psychiatric Registered Nurse for a 10-bed short-term acute psychiatric care unit. The age group served is 60 years and older. 2-3 RNs are needed per shift. Each RN must possess strong competency in both acute medical care and psychiatric care. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of acute RN experience. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) is required. Credentialing involves background checks and obtaining specific certifications.
