Job Description:
Cath Lab Rad Tech Traveler (Days) Position Summary The Cath Lab
Radiologic Technologist provides technical support during cardiac
catheterization, interventional cardiology, and vascular
procedures. Working under the direction of a physician, the
technologist operates fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment,
ensures radiation safety, and supports all aspects of patient care
within the Cath Lab. This role requires strong clinical skills,
rapid response capability, and the ability to assist with emergent
STEMI activations. Key Responsibilities Operate fluoroscopy and
radiographic equipment during cardiac and vascular procedures in
accordance with safety standards. Assist physicians during
diagnostic and interventional procedures, anticipating procedural
needs. Monitor and document procedures, equipment use, and supplies
accurately. Ensure proper patient positioning, sterile technique,
and radiation protection. Prepare procedural rooms, equipment, and
supplies before cases. Process and transmit images to PACS with
accurate labeling. Participate in STEMI call coverage and respond
promptly to emergent cases. Maintain equipment functionality and
report malfunctions promptly. Support patient care before, during,
and after procedures following Cath Lab protocols. Uphold all
infection control, safety, and privacy standards. Qualifications
(Legally Required) Current and valid California Radiologic
Technologist (CRT) License . Current California Fluoroscopy Permit
. Current ARRT(R) certification. CVT-only candidates are not
accepted without the required Radiology License. Current BLS (AHA)
certification. Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience in an
acute care hospital. Shift Details 13-week travel assignment . Day
shift: 0700 1530 , 5 days per week . STEMI on-call required in
addition to scheduled hours.
