Summary:
Under the supervision of the director-manager or designee, the registered nurse provides patient care in response to identified needs.Additional functions will be performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.
Assures quality care through compliance with departmental policies, hospital and external regulatory agency guidelines.
Demonstrates desirable work habits and promotes personal growth and professionalism in the work environment.
Effectively performs the duties and responsibilities of a wound care nurse using the nursing process.



Experience:
2 years of experience in wound care nursing
Experience with hyperbarics is a plus

Education:
Associates of Nursing required, or Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing School.
Bachelors of Science or in Nursing required.

Certifications - Licensure:
Current Registered Nurse License
CPR Certification
Basic Cardiac Life Support BCLS (AHA)
Wound Care Certification
Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) Certification preferred

Special Skills:
Must be able to utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations.Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities.Personal computer skills required.Frequent contact with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals and volunteers.
