Hygiene is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the Hygiene
program are maintained to the established and appropriate levels.
In this role, the Director of Hygiene is responsible for the
development of dental hygienists to optimize oral hygiene care
delivered to patients while meeting defined performance and
financial objectives. Core Responsibilities
- Drive superior levels of patient service and employee
satisfaction while striving continuously to improve clinical and
operational results
- Track, report, and seek to continuously improve operational and
patient satisfaction metrics across all offices
- Communicate regularly with operational and clinical staff on
financial, operational, and clinical matters
- Use regularly scheduled provider meetings for all Hygienists as
a means to: facilitate the implementation of new policies and
procedures; introduction to new products or formulary changes;
develop strong team approach to problem solving; and to bring forth
any clinical concerns and suggestions for improvement
- Deliver regional training and both remote and in person one on
one coaching to promote quality care, patient satisfaction and
increase revenue
- Provide help in the moment support to Hygienists
- Utilize existing curriculum and create/revise new curriculum to
support the development of Hygienists in the company.
- Identify office or regional deficiencies and execute plans to
improve performance
- Responsible for quality assurance, risk management and
infection control programs
- Responds to patient concerns or complaints when present.
- Develop any necessary corrective action plans as a result of
consistent quality assurance auditing of patient cases
- Assist with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new
hygienists including attending regional conferences, outreach to
schools, and networking opportunities Minimum Education and
Experience:
- Licensed and or Registered Dental Hygienist
- Ability to travel to assigned offices
- Demonstrated excellence in the field of Hygiene with the
ability to coach and develop fellow Hygienists
- Bachelor s degree or higher in related field
- Prior Hygienist management and leadership experience
- Adjunct or full-time dental hygiene faculty experience, and/or
dental hygiene consulting experience with a proven track
record
