Job Description:
The human resource manager is directly responsible for the
overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human
resource function. Essential Functions Support the company's
Inglewood and Vernon, CA facilities and supervise Human Resources
staff for both facilities. ---
Work effectively with the General Managers on recruiting, training,
performance reviews, compliance, safety, labor relations, workers
compensation and legal to ensure alignment with corporate
initiatives. --- Manage union grievances, attend union mediations,
provide continuous management support during labor negotiations,
and assist with resolving disciplinary action associated with the
negotiated terms of collective bargaining agreements. ---
Coordinate with the Compliance Department and unit Human Resource
Managers to ensure conformance with anti-harassment training
program. --- Formulate internal audit reports corrective action
plans and implement improvement measures as required. ---
Effectively collaborate with local Human Resources personnel to
facilitate resolution of complaints when appropriate and assist
with conducting interviews and investigations. --- Prepare concise
monthly written log and summaries of findings detailing the factual
outcome of the complaints and make recommendations on corrective
improvements. --- Provide coaching and career development support
as appropriate, in collaboration with Human Resources personnel.
--- Work with unit Human Resources personnel to identify and select
effective learning assignments as needed to provide unit support.
--- Act as interim point of contact for all L.A. unit Human
Resource personnel regarding policy and process compliance. ---
Work independently or with cross-functional team to include Human
Resources, Vice President, Operations Human Resources, facility
General Managers and Senior Leadership Team to manage assigned
duties. --- Liaise with Vice President, Operations Human Resources
on an ongoing basis. Skills and Qualifications --- Demonstrated
supervisory skills of individuals in leadership role. --- Strong
analytical skills to interpret and study complex issues. --- Strong
written communication skills to write concise reports, and
summaries. --- Strong oral communication skills to effectively
convey and explain information to all levels of employees and
management. --- Strong interpersonal skills: sensitivity to all
parties, and facilitate resolutions --- Bachelor's Degree required.
--- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a leadership
role in human resources management. --- Proven experience in
effective union workplace relations and grievance resolution. ---
Ability to lead and conduct all aspects of workplace complaint
investigations. Ability to lead and conduct all aspects of complex
workplace investigations and union grievances and mediations. ---
Demonstrated working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
(e.g., DOL, EEOC, FEHA, Title VII, FMLA, ADA, etc.) --- Educate the
L.A. HR Team and act as a resource for management regarding
California wage and hour laws, employee leave, and other employment
related laws and regulations, such as, but not limited to the
California Fair Employment Housing Act and the Private Attorney
Generals Act. --- Bilingual in Spanish is required. Supervisory
Responsibility This position has supervisory responsibilities. Work
Environment This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Physical

essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of
this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The
employee frequently is required to sit and stand for long periods
of time; and reach with hands and arms. Position Type/Expected
Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work
are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Travel 40%
