Job Description Job Description Our client, a leader in automotive manufacturing, is seeking a Machinist to join their dedicated team. As a Machinist, you will be an integral part of the Operations department supporting manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Machinist Location: Costa Mesa, CA Pay Range: $27-$30 Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM, with possible overtime and weekend work as required What's the Job? Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for efficiency and quality. Assist maintenance personnel with diagnosing and correcting machine tool geometry concerns using inspection data. Follow production schedules, verify machine configurations, tooling, and fixtures to meet quality and efficiency targets. Load castings and raw materials onto designated pallets for 5-axis CNC machining in an automated environment, following SOPs and drawing instructions. Perform daily maintenance activities on CNC machines, including cleaning, coolant checks, and recording activities accurately. What's Needed? High School diploma or equivalent; AA Degree or trade school study relevant to CNC manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge of 5-axis CNC machine controls (Heidenhain, Mazatrol experience preferred). 5 years of experience in a dynamic, close-tolerance CNC manufacturing environment, including machine operation, programming, and tooling. Strong understanding of CNC cutting tools and G & M code programming techniques. Ability to read detailed blueprints with advanced GD&T experience and operate various measuring equipment.
