Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers. Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent. Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues. Communicates with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research. Additional Responsibilities include but not limited to: Refine and enhance product/process by applying continuous improvement and lean principles. Partner with production leadership, quality, Production Control and program management on cost out projects. Own and implement changes to manufacturing processes in an assembly, test, Welding and composites. Develop, maintain, and control the planning function for routers and BOM structure including Purchase Order Part Specification (POPS). Tooling design for product assembly and product test. Problem solve manufacturing related issues using a structured and disciplined approach Investigate, identify and report out root cause and lead the implementation of corrective actions.
