Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of postal vehicles including mail trucks, vans, and delivery vehicles. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools and software. Order and maintain inventory of parts and equipment necessary for repairs. Ensure all repairs meet USPS safety and operational standards. Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed. Collaborate with other technicians and postal staff to achieve effective fleet management. Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills for record keeping and parts ordering.
