Job Description Summary The LaFetra College of Education ( LFCE
) at the University of La Verne invites applications for a
10-month, full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank
of assistant professor of Educational Counseling. The Educational
Counseling Program emphasizes school counselor training with
concentrations in a Pupil Personnel Services Credential
(California), Spanish Bilingual Bicultural Certification ( SBBC ),
Social Justice in Higher Education ( SJHE ) and School and Family
Based Counseling ( LPCC license-eligibility). The Educational
Counseling program is seeking a candidate with a strong emphasis in
diversity, social justice, and advocacy as well as knowledge in
developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive school
counseling programs. Candidates must have practical knowledge in
the American School Counseling Association ( ASCA ) National Model
and Ethics Code. The LaFetra College of Education’s mission is to

Master’s Degree in Education or related field Valid CA PPS
Credential – School Counseling 3 – 5 years school counseling
experience in PK-12 Experience in teaching and/or working with
adult learners Preferred Qualifications Doctorate in Education or
related field Providing school counseling and/or school psychology
services to students in an urban setting Bilingual in Spanish, or
other languages common in California’s student demographics
