Job Description Job Description SUMMARY OF POSITION: The
Assistant Foreman is responsible for assisting the Foreman with the
management of crew members by following the Company’s systems,
processes, policies, safety practices to achieve high quality,
safe, and efficient crew production. This role will also assist
with providing client satisfaction to the highest standard.
Critical for this position will be managing and holding individuals
accountable for following Company processes and procedures every
day as well as meeting performance expectations. This position will
also need to embrace leading and inspiring crew members in
fostering a culture of safety, passion, dedication, and loyalty.
This position will report to the Foreman. RESPONSIBILITES: Assist
with project execution: Help install landscaping features like
retaining walls, patios, and traditional landscaping. Crew
management: Work with Foreman to manage a crew, ensuring they are
trained, supervised, and working safely. Lead crew in
preparation/execution of daily tasks in the Foreman’s absence.
Assist crews with time entry and issue management. Material
management: Assist in ordering, purchasing, and tracking materials,
as well as ensuring proper inventory management. Safety and
compliance: Ensure that safety procedures are followed on the job
site and that all work complies with Company and regulatory
standards. Partner with Safety Supervisor to ensure all Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn by crew at times when equipment
or job task specifies. Ensure Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) sheets,
Toolbox Talks reports are completed and submitted timely and daily.
Facilitate on the job stretching exercises before job start, after
lunch, and before end of day. Maintain clean, orderly, and safe job
sites at all times. Other tasks/responsibilities: Perform other
duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Two (2) to three
(3) years of professional Assistant Foreman experience and work
history. Knowledge of acceptable safe work practices including
wearing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
Proactive self-starter, achieving high productivity with strong
attention to detail; ability to work independently with little
instruction; coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks, set
deadlines, and complete projects in a timely manner is required.
Demonstrate the highest level of professional and ethical conduct.
Positive, tenacious attitude. Strong verbal and written English
communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes
unpredictable environment; works well under pressure and tight
deadlines. Ability to consistently apply good judgment and make
good decisions. Ability to always maintain confidentiality and
discretion. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Organized with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects at
once. Excellent leadership and time management skills. Experience
managing complex project/event logistics. Some local travel – up to
25%. Must possess a valid California Driver's License. The

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Ability to comfortably work with software and
apps on a desktop, iPhone, and/or iPad. Knowledgeable with
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat.
Quick learner and ability to figure things out on your own.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively in English
(oral and written). Ability to read and comprehend instructions and
information to effectively execute and achieve results. Bilingual
in Spanish is required. EDUCATION: High School or GED certificate,
required. Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture
or related field, preferred. Landscaping, construction/installation
industry experience highly preferred. COMPETENCIES: Professionalism

levelheaded and calm in all situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While
performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly
required to bend, kneel, walk, crouch for long periods of time
during the workday. The position also requires the ability to lift
up to 50 lbs., unaided, repeatedly throughout the workday. In
addition, the employee must be able to work in all outdoor
conditions: heat, cold, humidity, dust, mud, etc… DIRECT REPORTS:
