Job Description:
Marketing ManagerJob summaryResponsible for designing, creating,
and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and
expansion of company products and services. Implement all
encompassing PR and marketing plans and programs, both short and
long term, to increase revenue, generate foot traffic and build
awareness.Summary of essential job functionsCreates communications
programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and
its products including graphics, brochures, company or product fact
sheets, or other promotional products.Design and produce weekly
Green Grocer flyer, Market reports, Farmers Market report, market
changes and any relevant product specialsMaintains the inventory of
marketing materials (sales packets, spec sheets, vendor flyers,
giveaways, etc.)Compiles a master advertising calendar based on
popular seasonal itemsResearches and develops content for
publication of productsSocial Media Schedule- Creating content,
brand awareness, and engagement through various social media
platforms, Podcast,Compile image library for contentTrack
significant company events and draft press releases for
distributionInput/coordinate/request samples from vendors/buyers.
Review sample requests and log feedbackAssist in creating Special
Presentations, contracts, and RFP'sMaintain marketing database(s)
and ensure data is accurate and correctCoordinate All Bill backs
and Vendor Marketing ProgramsCreates Product
Profiles/Pictures/Information for Produce Pro Web and online
orderingLiaison with Vendors which includes scheduling vendors for
sales meetings/rep ride along, vendor usage reportsPerforms special
projects as assigned by ownership/ VP of SalesOversee planning of
annual company expo and various sales events/contests throughout
the year--Minimum requirementsBachelor's degree in marketing,
communications, or related field 2 - 4 years of experience in the
field or a related areaFamiliar with a variety of the field's
concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Must have a wide range of
experience and understanding of the marketing including product
positioning, pricing, promotions, market research, sales, and
distributionA proactive self-starter with the ability to work
independently and Need strong ability to set priorities solves
problems, and be resourceful under pressureMarketing/social media
experienceKnowledge of basic Produce Pro software (Prefer)Basic
knowledge of Specialty produce (Prefer)General produce, basic and
exotic cheeses, liquid dairy, dairy, and assorted frozen and
grocery items (Prefer)Knowledge of Microsoft Office software-
design software a plusKnowledge in the operation of basic office
equipment such as copiers, phones, and printers.Good written and
verbal communication skills.Excellent customer service
skills.Detail-oriented.Ability to work in a fast-paced
environmentAbility to occasionally stand, sit, walk, bend and reach
throughout the workday.--Starting $100k DOE -Based on
